Anyone use the new mobile features yet?
I have been using This Online Place on my cell now for the past month and I never get my ringers from t-mobile anymore, besides they never had the songs I was looking for. These guys give unlimited ringers for 1 month and they have every song before the cell phone companies do. I just downloaded 92 ringers into my phone and they even have insane mixtape stuff. You guys gotta see this. You just enter your phone number into the site to use it and then get access to unlimited ringers right away, it's too easy.
Do you think this is fair?
PHILADELPHIA - A federal jury awarded $24.2 million to two men who were severely burned by electrical wires when they trespassed onto railroad property and climbed atop a rail car.
Jeffrey Klein and Brett Birdwell, who were 17 at the time of the accident, sued Amtrak and Norfolk Southern Corp. after being burned by a 12,500-volt electrical wire in Lancaster in August 2002. In their lawsuit, they argued that the companies should have placed warning signs alerting people to the wires, which power locomotives.
Klein, who was burned over 75 percent of his body, was awarded more than $11 million in compensatory damages; Birdwell, who was burned over 18 percent of his body, was awarded more than $588,000. The jury also awarded a total of $12.5 million in

Things you never knew a mobile phone could do!
There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies.
Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:
* The Emergency Number worldwide for **Mobile** is 112 .* If you find yourself out of coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked.
Have you locked your keys in the car? Does you car have a remote /central locking?
If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).
Hidden Battery power!
Imagine your cell battery is very low , you are expecting an important call and you don't have a charger. Nokia instrument comes with a reserve battery. To activate, press the keys *3370# Your cell will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time.
How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?
To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone:
* # 0 6 #
A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. when your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless.
You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either.
If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.
Skinnys edit: I think point 2 is utter bollox, feel free to dispel all these, with reasoned arguement of course!

'Blade' star Wesley Snipes faces jail
Hollywood actor Wesley Snipes was charged with dodging millions of dollars in taxes Tuesday in an indictment that could see the "Blade" star hit with a lengthy jail term.
Federal prosecutors in Tampa issued an eight-count indictment accusing Snipes and two Florida men, Eddie Kahn and Douglas Rosile, of conspiracy to defraud the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and submitting fake claims.
Snipes, 44, who is best known for the "Blade" trilogy of vampire movies and films such as "Jungle Fever" and "White Men Can't Jump", also faces six separate counts of failing to file income tax returns.

RIP CORONADO, Calif SUCH bravery I had to post this in respect of a true soldier
CORONADO, Calif. - A Navy SEAL sacrificed his life to save his comrades by throwing himself on top of a grenade Iraqi insurgents tossed into their sniper hideout, fellow members of the elite force said.
Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael A. Monsoor had been near the only door to the rooftop structure Sept. 29 when the grenade hit him in the chest and bounced to the floor, said four SEALs who spoke to The Associated Press this week on condition of anonymity because their work requires their identities to remain secret.
“He never took his eye off the grenade, his only movement was down toward it,” said a 28-year-old lieutenant who sustained shrapnel wounds to both legs that day. “He undoubtedly saved mine and the other SEALs’ lives, and we owe him.”
Very sad, I have suck respect for this soldier.
rest in peace mate.

MY DOG NAMED SEX SOOOOOOO FUNNY
Everybody I know who has a dog usually calls him "Rover" or "Spot". I call mine Sex. Now, Sex has been very embarrassing to me. When I went to the City Hall to renew the dog's license, I told the clerk that I would like a license for Sex. He said, "I would like to have one too!" Then I said, "But she is a dog!" He said he didn't care what she looked like. I said, "You don't understand. ... I have had Sex since I was nine years old." He replied, "You must have been quite a strong boy." When I decided to get married, I told the minister that I would like to have Sex at the wedding. He told me to wait until after the wedding was over. I said, "But Sex has played a big part in my life and my whole world revolves around Sex." He said he didn't want to hear about my personal life and would not marry us in his church. I told him everyone would enjoy having Sex at the wedding. The next day we were married at the Justice of the Peace. My family was barred from the church from then on.
When my wife and I went on our honeymoon, I took the dog with me. When we checked into the motel, I told the clerk that I wanted a room for me and my wife and a special room for Sex. He said that every room in the motel is a place for sex. I said, "You don't understand. ... Sex keeps me awake at night." The clerk said, "Me too!"
One day I entered Sex in a contest. But before the competition began, the dog ran away. Another contestant asked me why I was just looking around. I told him that I was going to have Sex in the contest. He said that I should have sold my own tickets. "You don't understand," I said, "I hoped to have Sex on TV." He called me a show off.
When my wife and I separated, we went to court to fight for custody of the dog. I said, "Your Honor, I had Sex before I was married but Sex left me after I was married." The Judge said, "Same here!"
Last night Sex ran off again. I spent hours looking all over for her. A cop came over and asked me what I was doing in the alley at 4 o'clock in the morning. I said, "I'm looking for Sex." -- My case comes up next Thursday.
Well now I've been thrown in jail, been divorced and had more damn troubles with that dog than I ever foresaw. Why just the other day when I went for my first session with the psychiatrist, she asked me, "What seems to be the trouble?" I replied, "Sex has been my best friend all my life but now it has left me for ever. I can't live any longer being so lonely." and the doctor said, "Look mister, you should understand that sex isn't a man's best friend so go get yourself a dog."

Skyline test drive goes wrong when the sales man tries to drift lols
My mate took these pics up from his house, it happened along New South Head Road and William Street in Double Bay. This guy in an R32 GTR was showing a potential customer how the car handled, he went like 140km and tried to drift it through a detour lane from William St going onto New South Head Rd, he clipped the kerb and the car rolled and smashed a bit of the wall of some council place. Both drivers are in hospital but nothing critical.

2008 Nissan Skyline!!
The enthusiast world has been waiting for the next Nissan Skyline for some time now, particularly American enthusiasts, who are set to get their first factory-sanctioned taste of the performance legend when it makes it into US showrooms for the first time.
Looking very close to the sensational GTR-Proto concept shown back in 2005 at the Tokyo Motor Show, the 2008 Skyline appears to be in its final stages of development, as evidenced by these KGP Photography shots of the car caught testing at the NĂ¼rburgring.
While all previous Skylines were sedan-derived, the new model will reportedly gain its own two-door architecture, which bodes well for the car from a performance standpoint.
Prevailing rumors have the car taking on a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-6, itself derived from the engine in the 350Z. Power bogeys put the mill in the range of 450 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of twist. In true Skyline fashion, the car will be all-wheel-drive, with a further evolution of the GT-R’s electronic ATTESA ET-S torque-sensing system, tied into a four-wheel steering system.
All of which should be good for a 0-60 miles-per-hour time of well under 4 seconds, and a top speed somewhere on the ambitious end of 180 mph.
Interested parties might want to start inquiring with their local Nissan dealers now.
YOUTUBE SOLD TO GOOGLE FOR 1.65 billion
9.40am Tuesday October 10, 2006
SAN FRANCISCO - Web search leader Google today said it has agreed to acquire top video entertainment site YouTube for US$1.65 billion, putting a lofty new value on consumer-generated media sites.
The deal, the first to value one of the new crop of user-participation websites at more than $1 billion, combines two of the most popular internet brands: Google, synonymous with Web search and rapid innovation, and YouTube, a Silicon Valley upstart that has spearheaded the video-sharing craze.
In anticipation of the acquisition, investors pushed shares of Google up $8.50, or 2 per cent, on Nasdaq on Monday to a closing price of $429.00 -- a level not seen since late April. In extended-hours trade following the announcement of the deal, Google stock dipped to $427.63.
The stock had already gained about 2 per cent on Friday, when reports emerged that a Google-YouTube deal was in the works. In the last two trading days, Google has added nearly $4 billion in market capitalization -- or more than twice what the company has agreed to pay YouTube.
For Google, the acquisition of YouTube would thrust the Web search leader quickly into the emerging market for video advertising, where it has only a tiny foothold compared with Yahoo Inc. and various Web start-ups, analysts said.
YouTube's explosive growth -- it now serves 100 million videos per day -- has been buoyed by the uploading and viewing of untold amounts of pirated video clips.
It has grown rapidly to dwarf Google's own Google Video.
Earlier this morning (NZ time), the Universal Music Group said it will offer thousands of its music videos to the millions of users of YouTube, ending a public feud over the protection of artists' rights.
YouTube's deal with Universal was similar to an earlier deal with the Warner Music Group , in which the label will offer thousands of its videos to YouTube users as well as make songs available to be used in the site's homemade videos.
Media companies that have signed deals with YouTube have also cited a new filtering technology the company is developing that lets rights owners eliminate pirated videos found on YouTube, or have the service begin selling targeted advertising around the clip.
Within 30 minutes, other deals came pouring in: Google announced separate music video deals with Warner Music and Sony BMG. YouTube announced another music video deal, this time with Sony BMG, and a separate short-form video deal with US television network CBS Corp. .
A top Google executive said the acquisition was part of a broader strategy to invest in the emerging online video market.
Google Chief Executive Eric Schmidt told investors and news reporters on a conference call following news of the deal that YouTube will be "one of many investments" Google plans to make in the video field.
Schmidt said that Google will run YouTube as an independent company but also preserve its own Google Video as a separate operation. He described YouTube as the "clear winner in networking and the social side of video" for the way the site encourages its users to share videos with their friends.
"We were very impressed and thats what led us to begin conversations with YouTube," Schmidt said.

kissing 19 highly poisonous king cobras thai style
Thailand - A Thai snake charmer kissed 19 highly poisonous king cobras in an attempt to set a world record Saturday.
One by one, the cobras were released onto a stage set up in this Thai beach resort town, as the snake charmer, Khum Chaibuddee, kissed each beast and then moved on to the next.
Four additional snake charmers flanked the stage at each corner and a medical team waited on the sidelines with serum in case one of the snakes snapped, said a statement from Thailand's Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum, which organized the event.
The museum's manager, Somporn Naksuetrong, said Ripley's planned to submit the record attempt to the Guinness Book of World Records to overtake a previous record set in 1999 when American Gordon Cates of Alachua, Florida, kissed 11 venomous snakes in 1999.
Khum, a part-time snake charmer for more than 12 years, urged children and onlookers not to try the feat on their own

Google Inc is in talks to buy popular Web video site YouTube Inc. for close to $1.6 billion
The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, citing a person familiar with the matter. According to the newspaper, the talks are at a sensitive stage and could break off.
Representatives for Google and YouTube were not immediately available for comment. Separately, Internet blog TechCrunch.com talked of what it called a completely unsubstantiated rumor of talks between Google and YouTube.
YouTube has quickly ascended to the rank of top Internet video site since it was founded in February 2005 by letting users share homemade video clips.
The site has been a subject of buyout speculation for months since its Chief Executive Chad Hurley was the toast of Allen & Co.'s media mogul retreat in July. Hurley has said in interviews with Reuters and elsewhere that the company was not up for sale.

Nas Says How He Feels About 50 Cent’s Mixtape, New Album, Tour With
Where do we start with Nas — he has a lot going on. Last week, he jumped onstage with Jay-Z in London and said he might join Hov for more stops on the Global Express Tour. "There are some conversations me and Jay are having about doing some more tour dates," Nas said last week in the U.K. the day before taking the stage at Royal Albert Hall. "Nothing is confirmed, but there are some serious conversations about Africa and a few other countries.
"I would like to do the Africa thing," he continued. "And that would be about it, because it’s the most important thing for Africans to see two African-Americans, their lost children, who’s been the head of hip-hop culture.
A lot of our verses are misinterpreted in other countries, and they get the N-word wrong and they don’t understand why we come up like this and why we say the things we say. So when they say it and when they do it, they just doing the gangsta mentality. They don’t understand where it comes from, so we want to bring that connection from America to Africa and show them what we mean and show the brotherhood and show that me and this brother is about peace."
Nas’ peaceful mindset has changed his perspective on some things recently. While some people raised an eyebrow when 50 Cent named a recent mixtape Hip-Hop Is Dead because it’s the same title as Nas’ upcoming official LP, God’s Son said it didn’t bother him.
"Honestly, I’ve always been the kind of guy to come back in and set the tone and wake people up," he said. "I do realize that, and it’s sometimes a conscious decision for me to do that and sometimes it’s just what I do. So when artists take a mixtape, like 50 Cent is doing Hip-Hop Is Dead, I think that’s cool because it’s definitely him in agreeance with me. I think the whole rap game is in agreeance with me to some point. I think it’s real cool, but my album is the real thing."
Nas’ Hip-Hop Is Dead … The N is supposed to come out in December. He’s still working but said we’ll be hearing a couple of songs from the album really soon.
"It’s probably gonna be a street look," he said. "There’s a nice street look I got right now. It’s between two songs I’m trying to choose from — [one is] tentatively titled ‘New York Stomp’ and ‘QB True G’ is the other one — and there will be a main record that’s more mainstream."
Nas is also making the rounds with guest appearances. He’s on a remix of LeToya’s "She Can’t," Hi-Tek’s "Music for Life" and Diddy’s "Everything I Love," all of which are out now

N.Y. rapper, others charged in deadly heist
A small-time rapper is charged with robbing two Miami men and killing one in a New Jersey hotel.

Newark (N.J.) Star-Ledger
A small-time New York rapper was charged with robbing two Miami men and killing one of them in a New Jersey hotel room.
The 28-year-old rapper, known as Charly ''Max B'' Wingate, is accused of masterminding a plot to rob Allan Plowden and his friend, David Taylor, both of Miami.
Wingate was charged Friday with felony murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. He faces life in prison if convicted on all counts.
Bergen County prosecutor John Molinelli said Wingate and his accomplices, who included a hooker girlfriend and a gunman, were unaware that another group of would-be thieves -- two hookers and two car sound system workers -- had plans to rob the South Florida men.
Two weeks ago Plowden, 41, and Taylor, 29, went from Miami to Fort Lee, N.J., apparently looking to upgrade their Mercedes-Benz and BMW with sound systems.
They met with Julio Cruz, 27, and Edward Blancaneaux, 30, both of the Bronx, about the work.
But the Bronx men had observed Plowden and Taylor spending tons of money at a Bronx topless bar called Sin City, the prosecutor said.
At one point, Cruz arranged a meeting with Plowden and a former employee of Sin City, Gina Maria Conway, 29, a prostitute from the Bronx.
Cruz and Blancaneaux cooked up a plot to rob Plowden and Taylor, and hired two other prostitutes, Maite Castro, 23, and Gisselle Nieves, 24, Molinelli said.
''They asked Nieves and Castro to soften them up, make them loose and let their guard down,'' Molinelli said.
But unbeknownst to the would-be robbers, Conway was scheming to rob Plowden and Taylor as well, and contacted her rapper boyfriend, Wingate, to help, according to Molinelli.
Around 3 a.m. Sept. 22, at a Holiday Inn in Fort Lee, Conway and an accomplice of Wingate, Kelvin Leerdam of New York, knocked on Plowden's door, authorities said.
''At that time Mr. Leerdam held a gun to Mr. Plowden and Ms. Nieves,'' Molinelli said. The woman was duct-taped and put in the bathroom.
After Plowden said he did not have cash, he was ordered to call his partner, Taylor. When Taylor entered the room, Leerdam shot him in the head, authorities said.
Cruz and Blancaneaux never got a chance to carry their scheme out.
The robbers stole $800 and a watch, leaving without $30,000 in cash that the Miami men had stashed.
Wingate was charged with felony murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. Leerdam and Conway were charged with murder, felony murder and robbery. Plowden was charged with money laundering and possession of identity theft equipment.
Castro, Nieves, Cruz and Blancaneaux were charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

Online Gambling Bill Passed in House
"The Washington Post is reporting that the House passed a measure that makes it illegal for banks in the US to handle online gambling transactions." There's still no such move in the Senate, but it's a step towards banning online gambling nonetheless. Since this bill isn't expected to affect the usual, legal ways of gambling domestically, one wonders if such legislation would be sought after, were online gambling to be headquartered here in the states, rather than overseas.

Hollywood's Latest Weapon - DVD Sniffing Dogs
WASHINGTON — Hollywood's newest stars are perfectly happy to go straight to DVD.
And Hollywood is perfectly happy to go to the dogs.
ADVERTISEMENTOn Tuesday, the Motion Picture Assn. of America showed off Lucky and Flo, a pair of playful, 2-year-old black Labrador retrievers with noses trained to zero in on DVDs, including the pirated kind.
During a briefing at the MPAA's headquarters, Lucky and Flo took turns sniffing out DVDs hidden in a box.
"They tend to be cheaper than most employees and they don't demand raises all the time," said John Malcolm, the MPAA's director of worldwide anti-piracy operations.
Still, the first ever DVD-sniffing dogs didn't come that cheap. The MPAA spent about $9,000 on each to train them over eight months. But the group said that was a small price compared with losses from pirated DVDs, estimated by the industry at $11.1 billion in 2005.
MPAA Chief Executive Dan Glickman gave the go-ahead for the project. As Agriculture secretary in the 1990s, he had seen the success of the department's "Beagle Brigade" in identifying prohibited foods at U.S. borders.
It turns out that DVDs also have a unique smell — not just the ones that were stinkers at the box office — probably from the resins and polycarbonates used to produce the discs.
"There is a scent that comes off the DVD that the dog is absolutely dead-set on finding," said Neil Powell, a Northern Ireland sniffer dog expert who trained Lucky and Flo. If there's a scent — whether it's from DVDs, drugs or explosives — a dog can be trained to sniff it out.
Lucky and Flo can't distinguish between legitimate and bootleg DVDs, but customs officials can identify smugglers by checking the declarations for the packages that the dogs point out, Malcolm said.
The dogs aren't actually sniffing out DVDs in a real-world setting, just showing it's possible. The MPAA, which hopes to loan them to customs officials or private shipping firms, is taking its dog show on the road, to Los Angeles, Mexico, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai and Britain.
The world tour even has a Hollywood touch: commemorative "Lucky & Flo K-9 Pirate Smackdown" T-shirts.

SWAT team officer shoot a cop killer 68 times
Accused of killing deputy, suspect shot 68 times
‘We would have shot him more,’ sheriff says of SWAT team’s actions
Updated: 2 hours, 17 minutes ago
MIAMI - A fugitive gunman accused of killing a Florida sheriff’s deputy was shot 68 times by SWAT team officers who found him hiding in the woods, according to autopsy results.
Police fired 110 shots at Angilo Freeland, 27, the target of a massive manhunt in central Florida following the shooting death of Polk County Sheriff’s Deputy Matt Williams Thursday.
“That’s all the bullets we had, or we would have shot him more,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told the Orlando Sentinel newspaper.
Judd said Williams was “executed” after Freeland was pulled over in a routine traffic stop on Thursday. Another deputy was wounded and a police dog killed.
Williams, 39, was shot eight times—one bullet fired at close range behind the deputy’s right ear and another in his right temple, according to autopsy results released on Saturday by the sheriff’s office.
Sheriff’s officials said SWAT team members found Freeland on Friday hiding under a fallen oak tree in a wooded area near where the deputies were shot, and began firing when they saw a gun in his hand.

I hope Paris gets jail time lols
Celebrity socialite Paris Hilton has been charged with drunk driving following her arrest in Hollywood earlier this month, city justice officials said.
The 25-year-old heiress to the Hilton hotel empire will be arraigned on charges of misdemeanour drunk driving on Thursday in connection with her headline-making arrest on September 6, Los Angeles city attorney's office said.
Hilton was hauled over by motorcycle cops after being spotted "driving erratically" near her home, police said.
The party-loving platinum blonde insisted she had enjoyed just "one margarita" and had not eaten during a day at work promoting her new album and attending receptions.
She was taken into custody at Hollywood police station and later released after failing a roadside breathtest. California outlaws driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.8 percent or more.
Hilton will be arraigned at Los Angeles' Metropolitan Branch Court House on Thursday September 28 but will not be required to attend the hearing.
The maximum penalty under California law for misdemeanour drunk driving is six months jail and a $1300 fine but officials indicated it was unlikely Hilton would face such stiff punishment for a first offence.
"If the judge decided to throw the book at her she could technically get a jail sentence but that's not very common for a first offence," a spokesman for LA city attorney's office said.
Instead she could be forced to attend an alcohol education program and lose her driving licence.

Is $20 worth 50-foot fall plus 100-yard swim?
Florida man decides it is, plunges off bridge, grabs bill, is rescued from river
PALMETTO, Fla. - Mark Giorgio figured a 50-foot fall was worth $20. Giorgio, 47, was counting his money Monday while walking across the U.S. 41 bridge over the Manatee River when a $20 bill blew out of his hand and flew over the rail.
He followed. And plummeted 50 feet into the river.
Then he swam about 100 yards to fish the bill from the water.

"I got my money back, hell yeah," Giorgio told the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. "Twenty bucks is a lot of money when you're broke."
He was fished from the water by a passing Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officer. Giorgio, who said he was already suffering from a broken collarbone, refused treatment for cuts and scrapes he suffered in the fall.

myspace info on fake accounts written by me :D
People set up fake accounts or rip of bands and get high friend numbers via adding programs, the things is now you had to have added people on fake accounts ages ago as now its way to hard to create them as every one is "sus" on fake accounts and as soon as they see advertising they report/delete you.
Almost every band thats big has a myspace account set up, so your chances of ripping off bands and making a fake band account are like 0.01% now days, the people who have accounts with very high friend numbers are people who have made fake band accounts ages ago and tricked people to believe their the real band, myspace is really cracking down on these accounts now and if you have one and a real band complains you basically gone.
Also people who have high friend accounts may be commonly known as "pishers"sp? these people are like hackers who steal information from other users to acquire a number of logins, they have 1000s and 1000s of logins...once aggain if some one has 1 million friends the chances are their a hacker with a number of smaller accounts is very high.

Microsoft to launch YouTube rival
Microsoft is aiming to capitalise on the user-generated video phenomenon by launching an online service to compete with YouTube, Google and Yahoo.
Soapbox starts testing on Tuesday and will launch within six months as part of current service, MSN Video.
"It's really early days in online video; this is still act one," said MSN's Rob Bennett.
YouTube had 34 million visitors last month, according to Nielsen/NetRatings, while MSN Video attracts about 12m.
"We're definitely not blind to the fact that YouTube has a big lead right now," said Mr Bennett, general manager of MSN's entertainment and video services.
The video-sharing market has proved increasingly popular with users in the last 12 months with services such as YouTube crossing over into mainstream success.
Popular video
MSN Video was once the most popular video site until fans of user-generated content propelled YouTube, MySpace and Google past Microsoft.
MySpace video receives 17.9 million visitors a month and Google Video attracts 13.5 million each month, according to Nielsen.
Microsoft is jumping on this bandwagon with some uncertainty
Joe Wilcox, Jupiter Research
"Microsoft is jumping on this bandwagon with some uncertainty with where it's going, but the company believes it needs to be on board," Joe Wilcox, an analyst at Jupiter Research, told Reuters news agency.
The testing period is by invitation only although users are encouraged to apply for invitation on the website.
However, the site was hit by a technical problem on Tuesday which told users: "Oops. It's not anything you did - it's us. Our site's down. Please try again later."
Microsoft has said it will take down any copyrighted material uploaded by users without permission once it is alerted by the rights holder.
The firm said the service would work with users of computers running both Windows and Apple operating systems and would support browsers including Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari.
Soapbox will also support a number of video file formats and delivery methods, according to Microsoft.
An early review of the Soapbox beta by website Cnet said it was "disappointing".
"It's a slightly better sharing service than YouTube in some small technical ways," wrote Cnet's Rafe Needleman.

For the First Time, Forbes List of 400 Richest Americans Consists Exclusively of Billionaires
NEW YORK (AP) -- For the first time, Forbes magazine's list of the 400 richest Americans consists exclusively of people worth $1 billion or more. As a group, the people who made the rankings released Thursday are worth a record $1.25 trillion, compared to $1.13 trillion last year.
In the billionaire-athon, casino magnate Sheldon Adelson pole-vaulted to No. 3 from 15 in last year's ranking, finishing behind the mainstays at Nos. 1 and 2: Microsoft Corp. founder Bill Gates and Warren Buffett of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
Adelson is now estimated to have $20.5 billion, Buffett $46 billion and Gates $53 billion. Gates has held the No. 1 spot for the last 13 years while Buffett has been No. 2 every year since 1994 except 2000, when Larry Ellison of Oracle Corp. held that spot.
Adelson's expanding net worth is related in no small part to his decision to open a casino two years ago on the island of Macau, an emerging gambling haven off the southeastern coast of China. Profits are growing rapidly thanks to the Las Vegas Sands Corp.'s Macau casino. Adelson personally and through family trusts controls 60 percent of the company.
Forbes estimates Adelson earned about $1 million an hour over the past two years. In the second quarter alone, the Sands Macau property saw net revenue jump to $310.4 million, up from $205.1 million a year ago. To tap the demand from gamblers in Asia going forward, the Sands Corp. plans a second property on Macau and a casino in Singapore.
The two Google Inc. founders were also big earners. Sergey Brin and Larry Page gained about $13 million a day over the last two years, according to Forbes. That puts them in 12th and 13th place, up from a tie at 16th place last year.
Page and Brin also share the distinction of being, at 33 years old, the two youngest people on the list and two of only eight who are younger than 40.
The list was led off by technologists, such as Gates, Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, Dell Inc.'s Michael Dell and Ellison, and rounded out by five members of the Walton clan who have fortunes amassed from sales by the world's largest retailer.
Ellison, with $19.5 billion, moved to fourth place from fifth, while Allen, last year's No. 3, was fifth this year with $16 billion. Dell fell to a tie at ninth place from fourth in last year's list; he is worth $15.5 billion
Adelson's ascension knocks Helen Walton, the wife of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. founder Sam Walton, into 11th place with a net worth of $15.3 billion. Her children, Jim, S. Robson and Alice, and Christy Walton, the widow of her son John, ranked in the bottom half of the top 10 this year. Each was worth between $15.5 billion and $15.7 billion, Forbes reported.
Martha Stewart, founder of the eponymous Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc., fell off the list completely, as she lost $395 million over the past year.
The biggest number of people on the list live in California, which houses 90 of the 400, and another 44 live in New York City.

Sep 20 - 23 year old in Richmond Makes $8 million in 6 months
"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is," said Charles J. Cunningham, special agent in charge of the FBI Richmond field office.
Tell that to more than 350 investors who say that since April, they handed over about $8 million after James E. Brown Jr. promised to double their money every six weeks by trading in foreign currency.
Cunningham spoke at a news conference yesterday at which U.S. Attorney Chuck Rosenberg and other law-enforcement officials announced Brown's indictment on charges of mail fraud and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was convicted in 2002 on a check-forgery charge.
Brown, 23, of Chesterfield County was arrested Friday morning. He remained in custody yesterday pending a detention hearing in U.S. District Court tomorrow.
He faces a maximum of 30 years on those charges if convicted. The multiagency federal investigation continues. Additional charges appear likely against Brown and some of the 10 employees of his Brown Investment Services, authorities said.
Brown allegedly used investment seminars held in the Richmond area and duped people with his presentation. He offered a written guarantee that he would double their investments every 30 business days by trading on the Foreign Currency Exchange Market, known as FOREX.
It was "a classic Ponzi scheme," Rosenberg said, a type of fraud in which money from new investors is used to pay earlier investors. "A Ponzi scheme works on the principle of robbing Peter to pay Paul," Rosenberg said. That makes things appear legitimate for a time, but eventually the pyramid collapses.
How much of the $8 million did Brown allegedly invest in FOREX? How much money did his investors make?
"The answers are not very much and nothing at all," Rosenberg said. "Mr. Brown lost money every month that he traded -- every month."
How much the alleged victims lost has not been determined. Some put in as much as $50,000, authorities said. Officials hope to make restitution after seizing known bank accounts and Brown possessions believed purchased with investors' money. About $1.1 million was in two bank accounts controlled by Brown last week, authorities said.
Court papers say Brown Investment Services opened three accounts at Wachovia Bank in April. One was in Brown's name, another in the name of the company; Brown alone controlled both. A third was in the names of Brown and a woman.
From April until this month, the $8 million flowed into the company account. Some, according to the indictment, may have gone into foreign-currency trading but much more went elsewhere -- to support the "increasingly lavish lifestyle" of Brown and his employees.
According to court papers, starting May 1 and as recently as Sept. 7, Brown bought $2.9 million worth of automobiles. Authorities described it as a luxury fleet of more than two dozen cars for Brown and employees of his company. One was a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren whose estimated value is about $450,000, authorities said.
Brown withdrew about $469,000 in cash and spent about $159,000 using a debit card, both in funds from investors, according to the indictment. He also bought more than $154,000 in jewelry and, from April until September, paid himself $640,000 in salary.
Salaries of the employees of Brown Investment Services averaged $115,000, the indictment says. One of them was a fashion consultant whose primary job was to choose Brown's clothes and set them out for him each morning.
Brown paid early investors a total of about $2.6 million in "lulling payments," according to the indictment.
In July and August, authorities said, people separately went to the FBI, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the criminal investigation unit of the Internal Revenue Service to inquire about the legitimacy of Brown's company. Investigators for the three agencies compared notes and went to work together.
One who complained became a confidential source for the investigation. The information gathered from the source, from bank records and from court-ordered wiretaps and surveillance led to Friday's arrest on a criminal complaint and yesterday's indictment.
Rosenberg said investigators worked fast on "a big complicated case" to stop the Ponzi scheme quickly and get as much money back for the victims as they could.

'Top Gear' presenter's condition improves to stable
Richard Hammond, a presenter for the BBC's Top Gear automobile television series, has improved to a stable condition after being involved in a car accident which saw him being airlifted to hospital.
The 36-year-old television presenter was filming for the programme at a disused airfield in York, central England, when the accident happened and was airlifted to a hospital in nearby Leeds.
He was involved in a high-speed car crash while filming an apparent attempt to break Britain's land speed record in what was described as a "rocket powered dragster" that travelled at speeds close to 482.8 kilometres per hour.
The current British land speed record is 300.3 miles per hour, held by Colin Fallows, who set the record in 2000.
A former firefighter at the scene said the accident had happened on the last attempt of the day, which saw the car veer to the right, triggering the deployment of one of the parachutes.
The car, however, went onto the grass, and "spun over and over" before eventually resting upside down and "dug in" to the grass, Dave Ogden of Event Fire Services said.
Hammond was cut free, placed in a neck brace and onto a stretcher before an air ambulance arrived to take him to hospital.
My daddy was my hero - from bindy RIP STEVE IRWIN
Steve Irwin's brave little daughter, Bindi, got a standing ovation after delivering a eulogy to her father today.
Watched by her mother, Terri, brother Bob, and about 5000 mourners at the Crocoseum at Australia Zoo in Beerwah, the eight-year-old spoke with remarkable clarity and assurance.
Smiling and reading her own tribute from a sheet of paper in front of an image of her dad, she said: "My daddy was my hero - he was always there for me when I needed him."
She traced the words on the paper with a finger.
"He listened to me and taught me so many things but most of all he was fun.
"I know that Daddy had an important job. He was working to change the world so everyone would love wildlife like he did."
She said her father built a hospital and bought land to give animals a safe place to live and she wanted to continue his legacy.
"I don't want Daddy's passion to ever end," she said. "I want to help endangered wildlife just like he did."
Bindi said she would miss her father.
"I have the best Daddy in the whole world and I will miss him every day," she said.
"When I see a crocodile I will always think of him and I know that Daddy made this zoo so everyone could come and learn to love all the animals.
"Daddy made this place his whole life and now it's our turn to help Daddy."
Audience members too moved to speak
Thousands of memorial attendees filed out of the zoo shortly after the ceremony finished. Many were visibly upset and some were too moved to speak.
Michelle Wilson, 23, of Noosa said that the saddest part of the service was when Irwin's truck was driven out.
"He was a great inspiration - it was stunning and it was sad. I think Bindi did really well," she said.
Trish Whitehead of Caloundra said the memorial was "absolutely beautiful".
"It honoured his memory - Steve was a person with the power to change the world and he was doing that," she said.
"I don't think we'll see someone like that again.
"Bindi has the strength of her father - I thought it would be hard for her but she stood tall and stood proud."
Irwin's father, Bob, said afterwards that Terri was very pleased with the service and proud of the strength shown by Bindi.
"I was coping fairly well until John sang that song [True Blue] and then I fell apart," he said. "If our roles would have been reversed, Steve would have fallen apart too because he really loved that song."
Mr Irwin said Bindi had shown a lot of strength but he expected her to do well because of her media experience.
"I don't think Bindi has broken down as much as I would have expected. She's been a strong little girl and she's coping extremely well," he said.
PM tells of 'zest for life'
Earlier at the service Prime Minister John Howard paid tribute to the Crocodile Hunter's "zest for life".
"We gather in this special place that Steve created to celebrate the life of a remarkable man and a remarkable Australian," he said.
"Steve Irwin touched the hearts of Australians and touched the hearts of millions around the world in a very special way.
"He did that because he had that quality of being genuine, of being authentic, of being unconditional and having a great zest for life and, throughout his all-too-short life, he demonstrated a love for the two things that ought to matter more to all of us than anything else - his love of his family and his love of his country."
Mr Howard said Irwin brought to Australians and to the world an understanding of nature.
"He taught our children in particular to love and respect all creatures great and small," he said.
"In everything he did he was direct, he was genuine and oh so Australian and that is what we loved about him."
Russell Crowe's taped tribute
Before Mr Howard's comments, actor Russell Crowe's taped tribute was played.
"Your passing has suspended reality for all of us,'' Crowe said on the recording from New York. "It was way too soon and completely unfair on all accounts.
"I know, as humble as you always were, you would still be pleased to know that the world sends its love and people all over this planet have been grieving.
"We have all lost a friend, we have lost a champion and we are going to take some time to adjust to that."
Australian music star John Williamson sang True Blue, the Crocodile Hunter's favourite song, earning a standing ovation from the crowd.
Children's entertainers The Wiggles also paid tribute to Irwin, while Hollywood movie star Cameron Diaz sent a video tribute.
"People were just taken by him; they were just inspired and in awe of his energy and how he actually went about putting himself forward and what he represented," she said.
Every kid wanted to be him
"Every kid was in love with the idea of being able to be him."
In a taped interview, US talk show host Larry King said he loved having Irwin on his show, not just because it was "terrific" television but also because it impressed his two young sons, Chance and Cannon.
"I've interviewed presidents, kings and Oscar-winning movie stars," he said. "But once I talked to the real-life world famous Croc Hunter, well that made me a hero.
"Steve's connection with kids will be one of his enduring legacies," King said.
"He took them to the animal world, up close and personal.
"He gave them an education, as well as excitement."
He was fearless, says Costner
Movie legend Kevin Costner also paid tribute to Irwin in a taped message.
"His son and daughter and his wife can be very proud that not only was their father seemingly to the rest of the world fearless when he was around these animals," he said.
"Where he is the most fearless is that he let us see who he was and that's being brave in today's society because ... you show yourself to so many people willing to mimic you and mock you.
"He was unafraid of that because he knew his idea and his truth was a lot bigger than the aside joke."
Irwin's father, Bob, choked back tears as he briefly thanked well-wishers for their letters and gifts on behalf of the family.
"Please don't grieve for Steve - he's at peace now," he said.
"But I would like you to grieve for the animals - the animals have lost the best friend they ever had, and so have I.
"I was fortunate to just recently spend three or four weeks with Steve on crocodile research and he was the best he'd been for many years and I'll certainly treasure that."
Irwin messing around lightens mood
Lightening the mood, the crowd was shown humorous footage of Irwin falling out of boats, getting bitten by crocodiles and lizards, messing up his lines and being chased by cassowaries.
They were also shown clips of his journey "from the outback to Hollywood" and footage of him speaking about the death of his mother.
The crowd enthusiastically jumped to its feet and clapped along as Williamson sang a spirited version of Home Among the Gum Trees from the back of Irwin's ute, accompanied by Australia Zoo staff.
Clark Bunting, executive vice-president of Discovery Network, said he first met Irwin as the head of cable channel Animal Planet in the US.
He said when he saw a "very rough" video of the Crocodile Hunter's exploits, "his passion, sincerity and knowledge were obvious".
"I still remember thinking to myself, if this guy is for real we have to work with him," Mr Bunting said.
"Anyone who spent any time with Steve knew that above all else he was real."
Stars deliver messages
The one-hour special will be aired in the US next Wednesday and should reap huge ratings for ABC as Irwin, through his documentaries, was a much-loved TV star in America.

"She was really excited about seeing Jared onstage. But I guess this is what comes with being so famous, the doorstaff know you all too well," one insider said.
Meanwhile Leto — playing John Lennon's killer Mark Chapman in an upcoming movie — showed he loves being a full-on rock star during the show.
