Internet fraudsters have stolen around 8m kronor ($1.1m; £576,000) from account holders at Swedish bank Nordea.
The theft, described by Swedish media as the world's biggest online fraud, took place over three months.
The criminals siphoned money from customer's accounts after obtaining login details using a malicious program that claimed to be anti-spam software.
Nordea said it had now refunded the lost money to all 250 customers affected by the scam.
"What is important is that none of our customers will have lost their money," said a bank spokesman.
"We are doing all we can to stop this."
Largest Nordic bank
The attack used a program called a trojan, known as haxdoor.ki, to obtain customers details. Trojans are programs that look benign but contain malicious software.
Victims were duped into downloading the program after receiving an email, purporting to come from the bank, encouraging them to download anti-spam software.
Once installed the trojan monitored the PCs' online activities.
"It listens for key web addresses, in this case the Nordea bank address," said Greg Day, security analyst at McAfee.
When a user navigated to the Nordea bank login page, the trojan would kick into action, saving the customers login details. It then displayed an error message asking them to resend the information.
With two access codes the criminals could transfer money from the customer's accounts.
Trade newspaper Computer Sweden said the police had traced the fraudulent emails first to computer servers in the US and then to Russia.
Nordea added that customers who had been affected often did not have any anti-virus protection on their computers.
The bank, which has 2.2 million customers, is the largest across the four Nordic nations of Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland.
In August 2005, it was forced to temporarily shut down its online arm due to a sophisticated phishing attack.

Birdman Addresses Lil Wayne Broken JAw RUmors
With a rumor spreading around the ‘internets’ like wildfire concerning the possibility of Lil Wayne getting beat up by a member of Gille Da Kid’s entourage, we decided to try and get to the bottom of this Cash Money Mystery. Since it was Gillie’s camp that leaked this latest bone-breaking gossip, we wanted to give Cash Money a chance to respond, and that they did with none other than Baby himself phoning in to Complex HQ and setting the record straight.
To quickly get you up to speed on this latest Hip Hop hullabaloo, Mary Bowlin of J&M Entertainment and publicist for Gille Da Kid, put out a press release stating that Lil Wayne’s jaw was broken by one of Gille’s boys at a tour stop a couple weeks ago, a claim The Birdman vehemently denies, “That’s false, I don’t see the nigga, and if you don’t get money I don’t see you. Niggas be trying to do sh*t to get their name out. No truth to no sh*t like that.” He confidently scoffed at Bowlin’s claim saying that Gille or his people posed no threat to any of the Cash Money Millionaires whatsoever. “A man is a man. He’s a bi*ch nigga. His mouth is like an ass, anything will come out of it.”
Baby goes on to explain that Gille is just popping sh*t off for attention when we asked why he’d bother even circulating a rumor like that, “Nigga be trying to do sh*t to get their name out. He did it for notoriety, it’s been like that since he picked up a microphone. If you don’t know how to get money, you’re going to be a nigga like him, these niggas don’t want this, they don’t want no blood!”
We then asked the Birdman about Gille’s claim of ghostwriting Wayne’s lyrics for the “Carter 1,” a rumor which he also quickly dispelled: “None of that is true homie. Real men do real things. Know what I’m saying? Those niggas can’t write that.”
Gille wasn’t the only artist to feel the wrath of Cash Money. Referring to the backlash from the comments Weezy made in our Dec/Jan issue about Jay-Z, Pharrell, and The Clipse that created a firestorm still burning across various media landscapes to this day, Baby stood his ground and backed up his potna, “If a nigga feels a certain way, fu*k ‘em. Where we come from living is like a threat. We’re not tripping on anything. I come from controversy that’s been our whole life. We ain’t tripping on petty sh*t.”
Amidst the tough-talk, Baby made it clear to us that his main focus for Cash-Money is stacking paper and doing it for the fans, “My little homie is the hottest in the game, we’re celebrating our 10th year anniversary, trying to break new artists, we chase money, we just do entertainment.” He adds, “We’re just trying to give the world good music.”

Sex Offender Applies for School As a Boy
A charter school alerted authorities to a 29-year-old sex offender who tried to enroll there, pretending he was just 12, in what sheriff's officials said Friday may have been an attempt to lure children into sexual abuse.
The Yavapai County sheriff's office also said Neil Havens Rodreick II conned two men he was living with and having sex with into believing he was a young boy. One of them, 61-year-old Lonnie Stiffler, called himself Rodreick's grandfather when he tried to enroll him at Mingus Springs Charter School as "Casey Price."
"This is the weirdest case I've seen in 18 years," sheriff's spokeswoman Susan Quayle said. "If it wasn't so sad it would be funny."
A total of four men were in custody in the case Friday on various charges, including fraud, forgery, identity theft, and failure to register as a sex offender.
Officials at the charter school in Chino Valley, about 90 miles northwest of Phoenix, told deputies that papers the "grandfather" presented appeared to be fake and that "boy" looked much older than 12.
Stiffler and Robert James Snow, 43, "were very upset when the detectives told them they had been having a sexual relationship with a 29-year-old man and not a pre-teen boy," Quayle said.
Detectives have evidence that Stiffler and Snow enrolled Rodreick in other Arizona schools, and have notified law enforcement in those jurisdictions, Quayle said.
It was unclear whether Rodreick had actually attended any schools, but Quayle said, "I think what we're looking at is that he's being used to troll for other kids."
She said detectives learned in interviews with the men that Rodreick convinced Stiffler and Snow that he was a boy after meeting him two years ago over the Internet. Rodreick apparently shaved his body hair and used makeup to keep up the guise.
Deputies who served a search warrant at a Chino Valley home Thursday found Stiffler, Snow, Rodreick and Brian J. Nellis, 34. Quayle said Nellis was apparently Rodreick's cell mate in an Oklahoma prison, where both served time for sex offenses.
Stiffler was booked on counts of forgery and hindering prosecution and was being held on $100,000 bond. Each of the three others was being held on $50,000 bond on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender. Prosecutors said decisions on any additional charges would be made by Monday.
All four men made initial court appearances Thursday and were assigned public defenders. County Public Defender Janet Lincoln said her office had not seen any reports or met with the men by Friday afternoon and would have no comment.

Falcon's Michael Vick Caught With Pot In Atlanta Airport
ATLANTA - Michael Vick reluctantly surrendered a water bottle to security at Miami International Airport that contained a residue “closely associated with marijuana,” police said Wednesday.
The Atlanta Falcons’ quarterback entered a concourse Wednesday morning at the airport with the 20-ounce bottle. He eventually handed it over and boarded his flight to Atlanta. But his initial reluctance to turn over the bottle aroused suspicion among airport security screeners, a police report said.
The bottle was found to have a hidden compartment that contained “a small amount of dark particulate and a pungent aroma closely associated with marijuana,” the report said. The compartment was hidden by the bottle’s label so that it appeared to be a full bottle of water when held upright, police said.
No charges have been filed, but police said the bottle would be sent to a lab for analysis.
Vick did not immediately return a phone call early Thursday.
“We plan to look into the matter and discuss it with Michael Vick before having any further comment,” Falcons spokesman Reggie Roberts said.

Kanye West Working With Chris Martin On New Album
Kanye West Working With Chris Martin On New Album
Kanye West is hard at work on his next album, Graduation, tentatively due in late 2007 via Def Jam. The artist tells Billboard the likely first single from the album will be "Homecoming" featuring Coldplay's Chris Martin, who recently guested on a track from Jay-Z's comeback album, Kingdom Come.
One collaborator from West's 2005 album Late Registration who will be returning for Graduation is multi-instrumentalist Jon Brion.
"We'll be working together again on the new project," West promises. "Jon wasn't just a producer -- he was such a good friend and a great person to bounce ideas off of in the studio. It was the whole experience."
West has also been busy behind the boards, having recently produced tracks for Nas' Hip-Hop Is Dead and The Game's Doctor's Advocate. And, as previously reported, the artist will soon be featured in an HBO series "loosely based" on his life. Curb Your Enthusiasm mastermind Larry Charles will executive produce.

Oprah Lost A Baby At 14
Oprah Lost A Baby At 14.... Oprah Winfrey has stunned fans by revealing she lost a child when she was a young teenager.
The media mogul and talk show host tells all in the new issue of her namesake magazine, Oprah, admitting she was almost a mum at 14, after years of sexual abuse and "resulting promiscuity."
Best pal and Oprah editor Gayle King says, "She didn't really know who the father was of this child... and hid the pregnancy for a very long time."
Oprah reveals the baby, which was born prematurely, died shortly after birth.
King adds, "It was a secret that she carried for many years because she was very ashamed."
The media mogul felt she had to reveal all about her secret when an unnamed family member sold the story of Oprah's lost child to US tabloid the National Enquirer.
King reveals her friend was so upset about the family betrayal, she spent a weekend sobbing in bed..She recalls, "It was a weekend where she just really had a breakdown."
But, in the article in the new Oprah, Winfrey insists the betrayal was a blessing in disguise.
She writes, "Having the secret out was liberating. Not until then could I begin the repair work on my spirit for the sexual abuse and damage done to me as a young girl."

Racism at Virginia Night Club, Aclu sues
The ACLU of Virginia has filed a racial discrimination lawsuit against the owner of Kokoamos Island Bar, Grill and Yacht Club.
The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Norfolk, challenges the Virginia Beach nightspot's rules of entry that prohibit patrons from wearing dreadlocks, cornrows, twists and braids.
The lawsuit calls the policy discriminatory because it unfairly targets hairstyles predominantly worn by African Americans.
Last November WAVY News 10 brought you an exclusive undercover investigation into Kokoamos.
We sent in two men wearing baggy pants and Timberland boots, which, according to club rules, are prohibited.
Both men -- one African-American, the other Caucasian -- tried to enter the club wearing identical outfits.
The Caucasian was let in, the African-American was not.

MySpace sued by families of sexually abused teens
Four families sue popular social-networking site, charging recklessness, fraud and negligent misrepresentation.
Four families have sued the popular social-networking site MySpace and its owner, News Corp., after their teenage daughters were solicited online and sexually abused by adults they met on the site, lawyers for the families said Thursday.
The Texas law firms of Arnold and Itkin of Houston and Barry and Loewy of Austin said that families from New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Texas filed suits Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, charging recklessness, fraud and negligent misrepresentation by the companies.

"In our view, MySpace waited entirely too long to attempt to institute meaningful security measures that effectively increase the safety of their underage users," Arnold and Itkin lawyer Jason Itkin said in a statement.
He told that the families would be seeking "probably in the millions of dollars... enough to get the attention of a service like MySpace." He said it was up to each family to determine the monetary damages they wanted to seek.
"Blaming the families of abuse victims who were solicited online, as some have done, is a cynical excuse that ignores the fact that social networking sites can lead to heinous abuse by Internet predators," said Adam Loewy of Barry & Loewey. "It is now clear that MySpace recognizes that serious security problems exist."
MySpace said it had taken appropriate precautionary measures.
"MySpace serves as an industry leader on Internet safety and we take proactive measures to protect our members," said Hemanshu Nigam, the site's chief security officer, in a statement. "We provide users with a range of tools to enable a safer online experience."
"Ultimately, Internet safety is a shared responsibility. We encourage everyone to apply common sense offline safety lessons in their online experiences and engage in open family dialogue about smart web practices," he added.

Woman finally passes driving test after 23 years & 250 lessons
A woman from Devon who finally passed her driving test after 23 years is now hoping to use her wealth of experience to help others.
Maria McCarthy from Sidmouth ripped up her L-plates after taking about 250 lessons, which cost her between £2,000 and £3,000.
The 42-year-old said getting her licence has given her a "badge of adulthood" and changed her life.
She has now written a book aimed at helping other women succeed.
'Terrifying' ordeal
"When I started learning to drive, I absolutely hated it," she told BBC News.
"I was quite good academically, but I knew immediately I wasn't going to be a natural. I was so clumsy.
"It was taking all the things I'm bad at and putting them all together.
"I was an aid worker in Romania, working in dodgy areas and seeing some really awful things, but I didn't bat an eyelid. Driving was something else entirely."
Her saving grace was a stubborn streak which would not let her give up, but she said her two driving tests were the "most nerve-racking experiences" of her life.
"I was a bit like Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With the Wind - shaking my hands at the heavens," she said.
When she finally passed her test two years ago, she set out to write her book - The Girls' Guide to Losing Your L-Plates - because of an "evangelical desire to spread the word".
The book has information, advice and some humorous anecdotes.
"I wrote about a woman who booked five tests, but failed to get out the test centre for three of them because of nerves."
Ms McCarthy said the reason it took her so many years to pass her test was simple.
Automatic success
"I just wasn't prepared. If I'd asked my instructor if I could put in for my test, he would just have laughed at me."
She finally passed her test at the second attempt after swapping to an automatic and taking a period of intensive lessons.
Ms McCarthy has presented her long-suffering driving instructor with a copy of her new book.
"He was quite pleased when I passed my test, but I think he was glad to see the back of me."

Man Gets $256 payout For Nuisance Text Messages
A court has ordered a Chinese television production company to pay damages to a man who received more than 3,000 nuisance messages after his mobile phone number was used in a police TV drama.
The court said the Runshi Rongguang Film Production Co. should have made sure the number was not in use before having a villain say it aloud on-screen, China's official Xinhua News Agency reported.
The company was ordered to pay $256 to the mobile phone customer, Chen Bing.
Chen, 39, says he started receiving a stream of text messages in July 2004.
"It was so annoying, and for a long time I wondered why I was getting all these text messages," he said.
Chen discovered that his number had been used in a TV series called "Chinese Police - September Storm," broadcast between 2004-06 and later released on DVD. A villain spoke the number slowly, to allow another character to write it down.
The company said it made up the number from a staff member's birthday and did not mean to cause trouble, according to Xinhua.

Lindsay Lohan checks into rehab
Lindsay Lohan has checked into rehab. "I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health. I appreciate your well wishes and ask that you please respect my privacy at this time," said the 20-year-old actress in a statement issued Wednesday through her publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnick.
Us Weekly reports that Lohan entered the posh Wonderland Center in Los Angeles at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, arriving in a sports utility vehicle and clutching a Jamba Juice.
Zelnick confirmed to The Associated Press in December that Lohan was attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
Lohan told People magazine then that she had been going to the meetings for a year.
"I haven't had a drink in seven days. Or anything," she said to People. "I'm not even legal to, so why would I? I don't drink when I go to clubs. I drink with my friends at home, but there's no need to. I feel better not drinking. It's more fun. I have Red Bull."
Last July, Lohan was treated for several hours at a Los Angeles area hospital for overheating and dehydration on the set of "Georgia Rule."
The actress, whose other screen credits include "Mean Girls," "Bobby," "A Prairie Home Companion" and "Freaky Friday," recently had surgery to remove her appendix."

RIAA Speaks On DJ Drama Raid: 'We Enforce Our Rights'
As shock waves roared through the hip-hop community in the wake of the arrests of DJ Drama (Tyree Simmons), DJ Don Cannon (Donald Cannon) and 17 associates in Atlanta on Tuesday, more facts came to light regarding the nature and extent of the raid on Drama's offices and reactions to it throughout the community.
At press time, the pair, who were arrested on felony charges stemming from a magistrate's warrant under the Racketeering Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act, were in Fulton County Superior Court for a bail hearing, which will determine their bond (see "DJ Drama Arrested In Atlanta Mixtape Raid"). More than 50,000 mixtapes were seized in the raid.
The raid was initiated by the Sheriff's Joint Vice Task Force for Clayton County, Georgia, which is based in the city of Morrow, according to the Recording Industry Association of America. Morrow Police Chief Jeff Baker told MTV News that the operation stemmed from a three-to-four week investigation that involved two undercover agents. They notified the RIAA's anti-piracy division — both the regional and national offices — and worked with the Fulton County Sheriff on Tuesday's raid. The investigation began after a city police officer saw "illegal material" being sold in a record store in Morrow in violation of Georgia state law.
The RIAA has targeted 12 cities as "hot spots" for pirated material, including Atlanta, according to a company press release.
Brad Buckles, executive vice president of the RIAA's Anti-Piracy Division in Washington, D.C., said the case was developed in Atlanta. For more than a year, police have been investigating the manufacture and distribution of pirated material in the city and "during that time, we've been working with police and picking up pirated product, going back and forth with local law enforcement to figure out where it's coming from," Buckles said. "[Tuesday's raid] was just one of the many series of raids that have occurred."
Many retail outlets have been raided for selling mixtapes in recent years — the RIAA press release cited four in the Atlanta area in 2005, and claimed nearly 1 million pirated CDs were seized in the city that year — but Tuesday's raid was the first involving a figure of DJ Drama's stature.
Buckles was vague when asked about the product that had been seized, saying that he only knew what he had read in the report: that "the product violated state law" and that "I'm given to understand that the CDs also contained a variety of works and different artists" that weren't licensed or cleared, and were being sold illegally.
When asked if Tuesday's raid was part of a larger series of raids targeting mixtapes, Buckles said, "We don't consider this being against mixtapes as some sort of class of product. We enforce our rights civilly or work with police against those who violate state law. Whether it's a mixtape or a compilation or whatever it's called, it doesn't really matter: If it's a product that's violating the law, it becomes a target."

$50 million drug-money seizure may be biggest score ever
Story Highlights
• Colombian police find millions in U.S. currency, euros in three raids
• Large quantity of gold found behind wall
• U.S. drug agents present during raids
• Money, gold thought to belong to top cocaine-trafficking cartel
Colombian national police recovered close to $50 million in U.S. currency as well as other money during three raids in the past week on houses used to stash drug proceeds, a U.S. official told CNN on Wednesday.
It is thought to be the most money ever seized by a law enforcement agency in the world, said the official, who requested anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the investigation.
The raids were conducted following a tip from a source working with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the official told CNN. The DEA then provided information to the Colombian National Police.
The first of the raids -- all of which were conducted in the Cali area -- took place Friday, and $13 million and more than €2 million was seized. The cash was in a false cabinet and wall that led to a hidden room. Another cash seizure took place Tuesday, when police recovered $16 million to $18 million.
Separately, another house was searched on Wednesday and a large quantity of gold was found. Officials said a wall had to be destroyed to get to the gold.
DEA agents accompanied Colombian police on the raids, the DEA official said.
The money and gold likely belonged to a member of the Norte Valle Cartel, which dominates the cocaine trade in Colombia, the official told CNN.

David Beckham to Own an MLS Soccer Team?
It was recently announced that David Beckham had signed a five-year contract with the LA Galaxy soccer team, so that he can finish up his career in the United States. And now it has been revealed that as a stipulation in his contract, Beckham will be offered the opportunity to own a MLS soccer team when his contract is up.
Sources reveal that Beckham wants to leave a legacy in the US, long after his playing career is over with. Beckham is determined to put American soccer on the map, and having his name associated with a team could do wonders. He’s already convinced Real Madrid teammate Ronaldo to join him in the MLS next season. Ronaldo will be joining the New York Red Bulls in the summer, and another European footballer, Luis Figo, is arranging a move to the MLS.
Beckham’s involvement with the MLS and move to LA has already gained interest in the sport, and raised the profile of the league. It is rumored that league chiefs are investigating the number of “designated” players allowed to two per team. As it currently stands, MLS teams are allowed to sign one “superstar” each. But now they are thinking that they may be able to increase intrest if they can steal away some players from Europe.
A team could be set up for Beckham at the end of his contract if the league decides to create a new franchise. This has been done before, when the team Chivas USA were formed to appeal to Mexican immigrants.

this is a very short article from The Sun newspaper, so it's not exactly 100% true.
DIPPY Danielle Lloyd showed how much she really has up top last night — during the red carpet assault course.
Danielle, 23, bulged over her frock as they failed the task.
US rapper Ja Rule, 30, is tipped to join Celebrity Big Brother as early as tomorrow.

Sacha Baron Cohen slips out of Borat role to collect Golden Globe
For months he was only Borat.
But instead of appearing in character, Sacha Baron Cohen stepped out as himself to collect the Golden Globe for best actor in a comedy or musical for his role as the hapless Kazakh journalist in "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan."
Baron Cohen is often heard speaking colloquial Hebrew during the film, in which his character displays an extreme hatred of Jews.
The 35-year-old British comedian is no stranger to Israel. He is an observant Jew, his mother was born in Israel and his grandmother still lives in Haifa.
In high school, he belonged to a Zionist Jewish youth group, Habonim Dror, and upon graduation spent a year working and studying on Kibbutz Rosh Hanikra in the north.
Baron Cohen has since returned for several visits, his Hebrew is excellent and he has a good understanding of Israeli culture.
The transition back to himself to accept the award, Cohen said, was a bit of an accident.
"I woke up one morning and I was quite hung over, and I accidentally shaved my mustache off. I realized I had no alternative," he said, seemingly serious, backstage at the ceremony.
In a rare interview out of character, Baron Cohen told Rolling Stone magazine that he uses Borat as a tool to unearth the bigotry of others. "By himself being anti-Semitic, he lets people lower their guard and expose their own prejudice," he said.
But some American Jews have voiced fears that Baron Cohen's humor would go over people's heads and reinforce bigotry.
Baron Cohen said the real thanks for his award belongs to his fiancee, actress Isla Fisher: "She agreed to sleep with Borat for 10 months."
He is said to keep kosher and observe the Jewish Sabbath, and Fisher, an Australian actress, has converted to Judaism.

$900 Million Lawsuit Against Condoleeza Rice for Rap Profiling
Jerome Almon, CEO of Detroit-based Murdercap Records, has filed a $900 million lawsuit in federal court against the government of Canada, the State Department, and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice for "wholesale profiling" of rappers and African-Americans.
For well over a decade, Almon and numerous rappers including 50 Cent, Eminem and DMX, have either been turned away or faced lengthy interrogations at Canadian borders. Almon's suit, which was prepared by the chief of Detroit's American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), alleges that Canada launched its attack on African Americans and rappers "in an effort to both blame them for the increased gang violence and gun murders in the cities of Toronto and Vancouver, as well as in retaliation for the alleged profiling of Canadian Muslims by the Bush administration."
The suit names 50, X, Secretary Rice, Olivia, Jay-Z, P. Diddy, Oprah Winfrey, Colin Powell, Toronto Mayor David Miller, Eminem and Spike Lee, among others, as witnesses.
Almon also alleges that "the State Department has in its possession secret internal Canadian investigative reports admitting that the country is worse at racial profiling than the US, yet, Secretary Rice has sided with the Canadian government against African Americans in what is destined to become 'The State Department's Katrina.'"
According to Almon, "the State Department hypocritically touts rap as the great American ambassador on its official web site, while selling out its top artists to a foreign government."
Last year, Canadian authorities sought to ban 50 Cent and other 'gangster' rappers from performing in the country . Almon claims those same authorities also drew up Bills C-254 and C-95, which would ban all U.S. rappers and their CDs out of Canada by categorizing hip-hop as hate speech.
Almon, who seeks to challenge the aforementioned bills, asserts that "confidential documents from the Canadian Human Rights Commission, the State Department, and members of the Canadian Parliament show a huge cover up and a blatant bribery attempt by the State Department and Canadian government during the 50 Cent Canadian tour debacle." Almon also alleges that Canada profiles U.S. rappers while protecting known terrorist such as the Khadr family, who are responsible for the killing and the planned killing of U.S. soldiers and civilians. He also claims Canada has a Rap Intelligence Unit that regularly trades information with the FBI.
"Hip-hop is a multi-billion dollar industry that has created millions of jobs in America, Canada, and worldwide. Not only does hip-hop drive the music business, but has moved fashion, movies, auto industry, and video games to an unprecedented level in sales," Almon explained to SOHH via a statement. "Canada rolls out the red carpet for artist like 50 Cent, Jay-Z, P.Diddy, DMX, Emimem, and The Blakkattakk when we are putting major cash into their economy, but then stabs us in the back when we come to make some bread doing shows.
sohh
"They let terrorist in,but seek to completely ban hip-hop [with Bill C-254] -- you tell me how this makes sense?" continued Almon. " It won't stand. We ain't goin' back to the back of the bus, never. The Canadian government offered me a resident's permit to live in Canada and a bag of money if I would just lay down for them and put on a snitch jacket and say somethin' against the other rappers with records. The day I put on a snitch jacket for them motherfu*kers is the day they put me in a hole."
Almon has called out House Judiciary head John Conyers to hold hearings on the issue and has also requested for an official Canadian inquiry. He plans to make several surprise announcements concerning a boycott, his legal representation, and a travel advisory

Bank robbed twice in 24 hours
The local Wachovia Bank here was a busy place last week — for robberies.
On Jan. 10 around 9:34 a.m. a man walked into the bank and presented a note to a teller that read “give me the money or I will shoot,” police said. The man escaped in a silver Honda Civic or Saab with an undisclosed amount of money.
Earlier, around 2:30 p.m. the day before, a different man entered the bank showing an automatic gun and presented a note demanding money, police said. He also left with an undisclosed amount of money.
“That’s the first time I’ve seen anything like that within 24 hours of each other,” Lt. Steve Rose of the Sandy Springs Police Department. “It’s weird.”
Police said they considered the two bank robberies independent — for now. “It may be they could know each other but that gives us another angle to pursue,” Rose said. “There’s someone out there that knows these two guys.”

Russian Admiral Says U.S. Navy Prepares Missile Strike on Iran
U.S. Navy nuclear submarines maintaining vigil off the coast of Iran indicate that the Pentagon’s military plans iclude not only control over navigation in the Persian Gulf but also strikes against Iranian targets, a former commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Eduard Baltin has told the Interfax news agency.
“The presence of U.S. nuclear submarines in the Persian Gulf region means that the Pentagon has not abandoned plans for surprise strikes against nuclear targets in Iran. With this aim a group of multi-purpose submarines ready to accomplish the task is located in the area,” Admiral Baltin said.
He made the comments after reports that a U.S. submarine collided with a Japanese tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.
“American patience is not unlimited,” he said. “The submarine commanders go up to the periscope depth and forget about navigation rules and safety measures,” the admiral said.
Currently there is a group of up to four submarines in the Persian Gulf area, he said. So far they only control navigation in the Persian Gulf, the Gulf of Oman, and in the Arabian Sea, he said. They might receive different orders in future: to block off the Gulf of Oman, that is the Iranian coast, and, if need be, launch missile strikes against
ground targets in Iran, he said.

Jim Jones is the first independent artist to take the No.1 spot on Billboard
Jim Jones is the first independent artist to take the No.1 spot on Billboard
Rapper Jim Jones has become the first independent artist to take the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot Ringmaster’s Chart, with his smash single “We Fly High...”
The extremely popular ringtone has sold 1.1 million Mastertones, according to Nielsen Ringscan, reaching platinum status after 15 weeks on the charts. The runaway hit has also landed at No. 1 on the Billboard R&B and Rap chart, after 19 weeks. Jones’ latest album, Hustler’s P.O.M.E., remains on top of the Billboard Independent Chart, where it debuted nine weeks ago. At the time of its release, Hustler’s P.O.M.E. took the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Rap Chart and the No. 6 spot on Billboard’s Top 200.
On Jan. 24, 2007, Jim Jones will host the grand finale ceremony for the Achieve Your Dreams Poetry Contest at the Magic Johnson Theater in New York City. The contest was conceived by the nonprofit Entertainers 4 Education Alliance to encourage at-risk youth to pursue higher education and their dreams. The contestants were asked to write a poem describing how they will achieve their dreams, like Jim Jones has done with his. The winner will be selected by Jimmy, the Entertainers 4 Education Alliance staff, and a panel of celebrity and music-industry judges. The lucky person will receive a book stipend for their first year of college, as well as an internship with Diplomat Records. “I am very excited about this event,” said Jim. “We received hundreds of poem submissions from students from around the city and narrowed it down to the finalist. I just want students to know that they can be anything they want to be if they believe they can and work hard. I am happy that I can make a difference.”

Human ID implant to be unveiled soon
Human ID implant to be unveiled soon
A working prototype of an implant designed to monitor the physiology and whereabouts of human wearers, known as Digital Angel®, is scheduled to be unveiled in October at an invitation-only event in New York City -- two months ahead of schedule.
Developed by Applied Digital Solutions, the device is said to be the first-ever operational combination of bio-sensor technology and Web-enabled wireless telecommunications linked to global positioning satellite location-tracking systems.
Applied Digital Solutions Chairman Richard Sullivan said the development of the technology has progressed well ahead of schedule.
"We're extremely heartened by the remarkable progress made by Dr. Peter Zhou and his entire research team, including professors and their associates at Princeton University and the New Jersey Institute of Technology," said Sullivan. "This technology relates directly to the exploding wireless marketplace. We'll be demonstrating for the first time ever that wireless telecommunications systems and bio-sensor devices -- capable of measuring and transmitting critical body function data -- can be successfully linked together with GPS (global positioning satellite) technology and integrated with the Internet."
As previously reported in WorldNetDaily, Digital Angel® is intended to serve a number of functions. In addition to locating missing persons and monitoring physiological data, the device will be marketed to the world of e-commerce as a means of verifying online consumer identity.
Similar to microchip technologies currently used as electronic ID tags for pets, Digital Angel® is a dime-sized implant, inserted just under the skin. When implanted within a human body, the device is powered electromechanically through the movement of muscles and can be activated either by the "wearer" or by a monitoring facility.
Applied Digital Solutions is also exploring avenues for utilizing Digital Angel® without implanting it.
"We are currently talking to a watch maker who is interested in placing the device on the back of their watches," Sullivan told WorldNetDaily. "In addition, technology is being developed that would allow Digital Angel® to function from the back of a cellular phone, transmitting bio-sensor information when carried by the user."
While estimates of Digital Angel®'s marketplace potential vary, Sullivan and Applied Digital's partners believe they can enter the implant into a multi-billion dollar market through various licensing arrangements, Web-enabled wireless services and data transactions handled by Applied Digital's Application Service Provider center.
Those attending the event in New York City will see a working, multimedia demonstration of the implant. A miniature sensor device -- smaller than a grain of rice and equipped with a tiny antenna -- will capture and wirelessly transmit a person's vital body-function data, such as body temperature or pulse, to an Internet-integrated ground station. In addition, the antenna will also receive information regarding the location of the individual from the GPS satellite. Both sets of data -- medical information and location -- will then be wirelessly transmitted to the ground station and made available on Web-enabled desktop, laptop or wireless devices.
According to Applied Digital, the demonstration will represent the first time these technologies have been united into one functioning system.
The New York event -- at a time, date and location to be announced later -- will feature live presentations from top Applied Digital executives, including Sullivan and Dr. Peter Zhou, president and chief scientist at DigitalAngel.net, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Applied Digital. Attendees at the device's unveiling ceremony will include a handpicked group of potential joint-venture partners, as well as senior-level players in the e-commerce, wireless and Internet industries, and stock analysts.
Zhou is passionately enthusiastic about the device.
"I'm particularly excited about Digital Angel®'s ability to save lives by remotely monitoring the medical conditions of at-risk patients and providing emergency rescue units with the person's exact location," he said. "I also see great potential for Digital Angel® in the area of 'location-aware' e-commerce. This is a whole new wireless and Web-enabled frontier in which a purchaser's actual location is integral to making a successful sale or providing a valuable, location-critical service."
In an exclusive interview with WorldNetDaily in March, Zhou expressed his belief that the implant will be as popular as cell phones and vaccines.
Digital Angel®, said Zhou, "will be a connection from yourself to the electronic world. It will be your guardian, protector. It will bring good things to you."
He added, "We will be a hybrid of electronic intelligence and our own soul."
Applied Digital Solutions first announced it had acquired the patent rights to a miniature digital transceiver in December 1999. Naming the device Digital Angel®, ADS formed DigitalAngel.net, Inc. to serve as the research and development unit for the device. Since that time, ADS has actively promoted the implant, pointing to what executives and scientists say are lifestyle benefits of the chip.
"The first market we hope to tap into is a $10 billion agri-industry," said Sullivan. "The FDA is requiring improved tracking methods for beef and poultry. The Digital Angel®, with its ability to monitor body functions, can track quality from the [animal] pens to the supermarket."
The next large market ADS hopes to tap into is that of preventive medical tracking. Through its body function tracking capabilities, the Digital Angel® can monitor such functions as body temperature, heartbeat and specific needs such as insulin levels. This information can then be transmitted to a doctor or health-care provider.
"The Digital Angel® serves as an advance warning device, which can help lower the cost of medical care," commented Sullivan.
However, despite the excitement over an early working model of this new technology, concerns have been raised as to personal privacy. With the integrated technology, a person's location, health status and other personal data will be transmitted and available via the Internet.
ADS claims, however, that privacy concerns are misplaced, since the device can be turned off by the owner.
Additional concerns have been raised by Christians, who contend Digital Angel® could be the fulfillment of a biblical prediction found in the book of Revelation.
Zhou, president of DigitalAngel.net, Inc., disagrees.
"I am a Christian, but I don't think [that argument] makes sense," he told WND in March. "The purpose of the device is to save your life and improve the quality of life. There's no connection to the Bible."
As the technology becomes more commonplace, the debate, as well as sales, are likely to continue growing.
"We'll soon be ready to move ahead to the production-design phase of Digital Angel® geared to specific marketplace applications," Sullivan said. "The key message right now is this: Digital Angel® isn't a blue-sky technology. This is real. Digital Angel® breakthrough technology is here. It's live!"

Game has got beef with David Beckham now
The Game wants to play with Becks
American rapper The Game has promised footballer David Beckham a hostile reception when he arrives in Los Angeles later this year.
Beckham agreed a multi-million dollar deal last week to join Major League Soccer team LA Galaxy in the summer and hopes to raise the profile of football in the United States.
However, the Los Angeles-based street rapper is not impressed by the impending arrival of the former England captain and has challenged Becks to a match, claiming that he would "kick his ass".
Apparently failing to grasp the rules of football, The Game said: "I'd kick David Beckham's ass on any given day. I'd just pick the ball up and kick the s*** out of the stadium, game over."
When asked what he thought about Beckham's ability as a footballer, he merely added "pretty good".
Beckham is not the only sportsman to have fallen foul of The Game. It has been reported that the WWE are to take legal action against him over the rights to his name because one of their wrestlers, Triple H, is nicknamed "The Game".

Indian Restaurant lets you pay as much as you want
Charity Singapore eatery dishes up "priceless" food
Singapore's Annalakshmi Indian restaurant has all the hallmarks of an expensive night out: the lights are dim, the artwork on the walls authentic, the doors ornately carved and antique.

But instead of a hefty bill, prepare to be greeted by smiling staff who urge you to pay as much as you want and remind you that it's all for charity.
Named after the Hindu goddess of nourishment, Annalakshmi's philosophy is "eat to your heart's content, give as you feel." The vegetarian restaurant, part of a welfare organization, is run largely by volunteers, most of them devotees of Hindu monk Swami Shantanand who preached love for God through service to mankind. "Businesses usually wait until they've made a profit to think about giving to society, but we started giving from the start," Suresh Krishnan, who manages the restaurants, told Reuters.
"There are tables who can pay, and those who can't, so what we provide is a form of table-to-table charity. And the people who work with us do so for the satisfaction, not the reward."
Annalakshmi has three outlets in Singapore, and eateries in Malaysia, Australia and India. Staff range from retired civil servants to women from broken homes to executives and doctors who believe serving and preparing food is the ultimate blessing.
Any money left after covering costs is donated to the Temple of Fine Arts, a religious and cultural organization set up by the monk, who believed music, art and dance are a form of the divine.
The organization also runs free medical clinics in Malaysia and India and raises funds through "pay as you want" artistic performances and the sale of the Indian handicrafts and paintings that adorn the interiors of the restaurants.
FOOD FOR THE SOUL
The monk's devotees are known as the Shiva family, and as expected, they don't like to talk about their finances. But unlike most families which only take care of their own, everybody gets special service at Annalakshmi.
The flavorsome food -- and unique concept -- attracts hundreds of tourists, expatriates and Singaporeans every day. The restaurants serve north and south Indian specialities such as tamarind soup, chickpea curry and savory lady's fingers.
Lunch is served buffet-style at the Chinatown bistro or at the stall in the bustling Lau Pa Sat downtown food center. The main restaurant offers the most choice with a dinner menu that changes with the seasons.
"We cook in the traditional way, how our mothers' cook, and you can't put a value on your mother's food," said Suresh Kumar Kannan, a former mechanical engineer who quit his job to become as a full-time chef at Annalakshmi.
"The joy you get watching people eat your food is the biggest blessing ever, better than anything money can buy," he added.
Bistro manager Ananthan Somu admits it's sometimes hard to run a business on goodwill. But having faith in humanity has paid off: the restaurants have a huge, regular following.
"We pay with satisfaction and keep coming back," said Kanchi Seshagiri Rao, regional director for technology firm IGTL Solutions. "There is a price for everything in today's world, but you can't put a price on the love and the food you get here."

Bush: "They Could Try to Stop me"
President Bush, facing opposition from both parties over his plan to send more troops to Iraq, said he has the authority to act no matter Congress wants.
“I fully understand they could try to stop me from doing it. But I’ve made my decision. And we’re going forward,” Bush told CBS’ “60 Minutes” in an interview to air Sunday night.
Vice President d*ck Cheney asserted that lawmakers’ criticism will not influence Bush’s plans and he dismissed any effort to “run a war by committee.”
“The president is the commander in chief. He’s the one who has to make these tough decisions,” Cheney said.
The defiant White House stance comes as both the House and Senate, now controlled by Democrats, prepare to vote on resolutions that oppose additional U.S. troops in Iraq. Cheney said those nonbinding votes would not affect Bush’s ability to carry out his policies.
“He’s the guy who’s got to decide how to use the force and where to deploy the force,” Cheney said. “And Congress obviously has to support the effort through the power of the purse. So they’ve got a role to play, and we certainly recognize that. But you also cannot run a war by committee.”
Cheney condemns Democrats
Any attempts to block Bush’s efforts would undermine the troops, Cheney said. He took particular aim at Democratic lawmakers who have blasted the president for increasing troops despite opposition from Congress, military advisers and a disgruntled electorate that in November ousted the GOP as the majority party on Capitol Hill.
“They have absolutely nothing to offer in its place,” Cheney said of Democratic leaders. “I have yet to hear a coherent policy from the Democratic side.”
Yet many Republican lawmakers, too, have begun to criticize Bush’s war management. Republican Sen. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska, for example, said last week he feared Bush’s plan would be the worst foreign policy blunder since the Vietnam War.
Responding to that, Cheney said the most dangerous blunder would be to give up on the global fight against terrorism because the United States has decided the war in Iraq is too difficult. That is just what America’s terrorist enemies are counting on, he said.
They’re convinced that the United States will pack it in and go home if they just kill enough of us,” Cheney said. “They can’t beat us in a standup fight, but they think they can break our will.”
Bush announced last week he will send 21,500 more troops to Iraq to halt violence, mainly around Baghdad, as an essential step toward stabilizing the country’s government. That plan — along with economic and political steps — are meant to allow Iraqis to move ahead with securing the country themselves and allow U.S. troops to gradually return home.
Defense Secretary Robert Gates arrived in London for talks Sunday with Prime Minister Tony Blair on Bush’s new approach in Iraq and Britain’s plan to withdraw troops from southern Iraq.
‘An existential conflict’
Like Bush, though, Cheney braced Americans to frame the war in Iraq as part of a much longer effort.
“This is an existential conflict,” Cheney said. “It is the kind of conflict that’s going to drive our policy and our government for the next 20 or 30 or 40 years. We have to prevail and we have to have the stomach for the fight long term.”
The White House also said Sunday that Iranians are aiding the insurgency in Iraq and the U.S. has the authority to pursue them because they “put our people at risk.”
“We are going to need to deal with what Iran is doing inside Iraq,” national security adviser Stephen Hadley said.
Added Cheney: “Iran is fishing in troubled waters inside Iraq.”
The U.S. military in Baghdad said five Iranians arrested in northern Iraq last week were connected to an Iranian Revolutionary Guard faction that funds and arms insurgents in Iraq.
“We do not want them doing what they can to destabilize the situation inside Iraq,” Cheney said.
Bush’s revised war strategy seeks to isolate Iran and Syria, which the U.S. has accused of fueling attacks in Iraq. The president also says Iran and Syria have not done enough to block terrorists from entering Iraq over their borders.
“We know there are jihadists moving from Syria into Iraq. ... We know also that Iran is supplying elements in Iraq that are attacking Iraqis and attacking our forces,” Hadley said.
Hints about Iran
“What the president made very clear is these are activities that are going on in Iraq that are unacceptable. They put our people at risk. He said very clearly that we will take action against those. We will interdict their operations, we will disrupt their supply lines, we will disrupt these attacks,” Hadley said.
“We are going to need to deal with what Iran is doing inside Iraq.”
Iran’s government denied the five prisoners were involved in financing and arming insurgents and said they should be released.
Hadley asserted that if Iranians in Iraq “are doing things that are putting are people at risk, of course we have the authority to go after them and protect our people.”
Hadley sidestepped a question about whether U.S. forces would move across the border to pursue Iranians who are helping Iraqi insurgents.
He said the priority “is what’s going on inside Iraq. ... That’s where we’re going to deal with his problem.”

Orgasm When You Yawn
This article quite nicely sums up the issue of clomipramine, an anti-depressant drug, having the side effects of causing some of its users to experience orgasms when they yawn:
Some people prescribed an anti-depressant drug have found an unexpected side effect: they have an orgasm when they yawn. The drug clomipramine usually elevates mood and boosts physical activity and appetite. However, the Canadian Journal of Psychiatry reports four patients on the drug had orgasms on I’m soooo tired yawning.
“There is a small subset of people who are affected this way,” commented Dr. Martin Godfrey, a London GP who has prescribed the drug. “I understand they find this side effect quite pleasant.”
One woman who took clomipramine told researchers it cured her depression but she wanted to go on taking it because of its peculiar properties. She found she could experience an orgasm even by deliberate yawning. And a man who had also taken the pills said he was “highly satisfied” with the drug’s usefulness.
Around five per cent of clomipramine users report the side effect, though for most people the drug inhibits the ability to reach orgasm. The New Scientist says that the drug’s users have been comparing notes on the Internet and speculating on its unusual consequences: people who experience it would presumably seek out the most boring person they could find at parties.
