Hes bringing Sexyback, or is he? Prince disagrees.
News has surfaced out of Hollywood this week that a bitch fight is on the verge of erupting between two of the worlds most successful musicians. However usually an occurence connected with women, the latest celebrity stoush is between two men.
The relationship between pop stars Prince and Justin Timberlake has soured greatly in recent weeks, and insiders claim that Timberlake perhaps needs to find a sense of humour.
Things first started to fray back in August at the Emmy Awards afterparty. Timberlake had just finished performing his hit Sexyback when Prince screamed to the audience "For whoever claims they are bringing Sexyback, Sexy never left." The audience laughed at Princes jab at Timberlakes song.
Last week Timberlake got his opportunity to have a go back. Timberlake was presenting the award for "Best Original Song On A Soundtrack" when he announced that Prince was the winner for his song "Song Of The Heart" which features on the Happy Feet soundtrack. When Prince didnt stand up to accept his award (apparently Princes limo was stuck in a bad traffic jam on an LA freeway), Timberlake who is 6'1 tall proceeded to neil down to impersonate Princes 5'2 height and said "Id like to accept this on Princes behalf.
At the following afterparty hosted by Prince himself, Cameron Diaz and Timberlake broke out into a massive argument, after Timberlake was alledgedly seen flirting with another woman. Despite the fact they have officially split, it seems that Diaz is not quite ready to see Timberlake hit it up with the ladies just yet.
After a very loud and explosive argument between the two, Diaz eventually stormed out. Prince then approached Timberlake and whispered "Now that aint bringing SexyBack. "
Insiders say that Justin Timberlake has taken great offence to Prince lampooning his song, and is said to be devastated that one of his heros has seemingly turned on him.
However a spokesman for Prince claims that Prince was only engaging in jokes, and what started out as a light hearted joke about "Sexy never leaving" has now escalated into a misunderstanding between the two.
